I’ve been coming across so many people going through serious trials in this life. It’s a part of the process of course, but in the center of it; these trials become consuming and overwhelming. I don’t want to intellectualize it or soften things as if I’m speaking of not being able to find the correct color yarn for a wall hanging.

I’m speaking of real issues like abuse, abortion, drug addiction, poverty, broken hearts, alcoholism, and everything it leads or alludes to. We’re talking, prostitution, homelessness, hopelessness, hunger, rejection and the list goes on and on.

People are really hurting out here. Life is rough sometimes. Oftentimes we see people who we perceive to be the ” finished product” ( of course, none of us are). What we don’t always see are the trials , tribulations and pain they have endured on life’s road.

We don’t see the trials they still endure. All we see is the perfectly coifed hair, manicured nails, economy or luxury car and the things they’ve acquired. The issue with that is; your worth is not measured by things. It isn’t measured by the cut of your clothing, the boat you keep on your private lake out back. Your worth is in the love Jesus has for you. Things are nice but people are precious. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 KJV

If you are lost ,rejected or hurting… there is help and hope.

Jesus died for your salvation. It is a free gift to you. All you have to do is accept it. “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Acts 2:37-39 KJV
